Good Japanese food at reasonable prices. Fast friendly services. Parking is a little bit small about 4 stalls in front the rest is street parking.
One of our favorite japanese restaurants.
Cozy place, good food reasonable prices
Amazing food. Hands down, the BEST tuna (Ahi) I've ever had. Order it in the bento box 👌😋
Excellent Japanese restaurant. 4 stall parking lot with street parking is a little inconvenient, but well worth the effort. The food is reminiscent of the small neighborhood Japanese restaurants of the past. Homestyle comfort food. The broth for the udon is very good. A favorite is the Spicy Ahi donburi with sushi rice (the combo with the Wakame Udon is great, but very filling). The combo plates are good as is their sukiyaki. Worth a try! The pictures are of the spicy ahi donburi and the nabeyaki udon.
Went inside for the first time this past Friday to order take out. The staff were friendly with their recommendations since I needed a no meat option for Lent, and they offered me water or hot tea as I waited for my order to finish. I didn't expect the combination plate to come with so much food. I now have another option to go to for lunch near work.
Debbie K.Yagura Restaurant onolicious Japanese food. Big portions. I like the different Donbori. The Nabeyaki Udon good too. Everything is hot when it comes to the table. Friendly waitress. Good service. Only thing parking limited.
Walked in randomly and was really good. The Katsu and BBQ chicken were all super tasty and the ahi was super fresh. Loved the Udon soup to super authentic. Cold Soba noodles were tasty too
Scored one of their few parking spaces in the front of the building. Interior is dated but I enjoyed my curry with fried oysters. Thoroughly yummy!
Good Japanese food at reasonable prices. The sukiyaki is good and plenty. Only problem is that there's only 4 parking stall in front but there's a lot of street parking but it's metered parking
Aways a good place for a "home-cooked" meal. Lots of combo options; we had our favorite chx katsu and kake udon, teri beef don and udon. When we pass the restaurant on Liliha and see a parking stall open (only 4 stalls) we are in!
Food and service were really good. BYOB with lunch even better. Parking sucks, with only 4 stalls plan ahead, Street parking available at $0.75/hour with 1 hour max. I had the shioyaki saba teishaku, didn’t stay on the plate very long. Very fresh and tasty. Well worth the parking issue to eat here.
We enjoy coming here to get our Japanese grinds on!! It's a lil hole in the Restaurant, but I enjoy their "Teishoku" Combination of Shrimp Tempura & BBQ Chicken, very yummy & vey filling for me☺🙆 My Hubby orders their "Teishoku" Combo as well, but with their Fish Tempura w/Teriyaki Chicken, & he will also order many other dishes as well☺ Their miso soup is very tastyðŸ‘👠They also do have many other good items to order, including raw fish/Sashimi, Cooked fish & Sukiyaki, etc... We like their very friendly waitresses too, Christina & Teri, they are the Sweetest & very hardworking & attentive to their customers!! If you are ever in the Liliha area, check this place out, you won't be disappointed, well maybe just with their --4-- parking stalls tho, that they have right in front of the Restaurant , but you could always grab a stall on the street to if you get lucky!! Toodles🤗
Excellent chicken katsu and fried oysters
This place takes you back in time - nostalgic. They are very simple and polite. The food took me back in time, when my Grandparents would cook. That old Japanese cooking; so Oishi! 👠I would recommend this place to anyone. One thing to note, there us only 4 parking stalls. 😮
Really nice, casual Japanese restaurant with friendly staff, great prices and tasty food
Great little place with yummy Japanese food. The combination meals are great. I had the tempura udon which was good, but not as good as the combination meals.
Good enough teishoku.
Still the quaint Japanese restaurant. Good taste, selection, and enough quantity.
I love this restaurant! Online says they are open but they are not. I've called and driven past numerous times. Can't wait til they reopen
Great food. Old time ambiance. Super service.
Excellent Japanese restaurant
Try the bbq chicken when ordering a combo dish. The skin is so crispy and tasty!
No parking but good food
Great food & serviceðŸ‘
This family run restaurant has amazing service. There are definitely regulars coming in and out for takeout that stopped by while I was eating. I got the yakenobe (seafood nabemono) for less than $20 pre-tax and tip, it comes with so much food that I definitely went home more than full (the black container behind the soup is full of rice and I had a couple small dishes with salad and macaroni salad included in my meal). This place has a comfy and homey vibe that I love, it’s a place I would definitely recommend if you find yourself in the area.
Tasty mac salad, Service very friendly. BE SURE TO LEAVE CASH TIP IF USING CREDIT CARD. They do not add written in tip amount on credit card receipt. You will feel terrible if you left without tipping, especially if you wrote in a big tip for excellent service.
Their BBQ chicken is unique in Hawaii where the standard chicken is pretty much the same at every restaurant - they press-fry the chicken which keeps the skin thin and crispy
Food is delicious!
Great Food and service
Always a great place to dine. Food was excellent as usual. Best miso soup.
Ok Japanese cuisine. Good service but not as tasty as other Japanese restaurants. Parking is difficult to find on Liliha St. Only 4 stalls in front of restaurant
Good attentive service. Lots of menu selections. Reasonable prices.Easily found parking on the street as there are only 4 parking spaces in front of the restaurant.
Good Food, fast attentive service. Portion size is good for reasonable prices. Old restaurant that has been there over 40 years, not much of the decor has changed since then. Good selection of dishes and many many combination plates available. They are known for their large portions of sukiyaki and their tasty macaroni salad, but beware if you are MSG sensitive as you may leave with a headache. Parking is the biggest negative, only 4 stalls in the front of the restaurant and very limited 1 hour maximum street parking.
Didnt care for shrimp tempura batter.
A generous amount! The taste is medium
I love this Japanese restaurant bc that is my top favorite food venue!
One of my new favorite Japanese restaurants. Impeccable customer service, tasty offerings equals me returning once or twice a month
Good Japanese food. Their Yosenabe is really good and their Sashimi always nicely cut and chilled.
Great, cosy place for authentic Japanese food at really reasonable prices. Good service. Highly recommended for low key meals.
